Panel: Roots of Homelessness and Hunger

1:15 PMThis year's Shabbaton "Advocacy to Address the Roots of Homelessness and Hunger in our Community" will feature Manny Hidalgo, Executive Director of Shepherd's Table. He will speak during morning services and will facilitate a panel discussion after Kiddush lunch.
Manny Hidalgo joined Shepherd’s Table as Executive Director in July 2019. Prior to that Manny served as Executive Director of the Spanish Catholic Center and Latino Economic Development Center and Chief Operating Officer of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. He has also served as Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity for the US Small Business Administration.
As President of Hidalgo Community-Based Consulting LLC, Manny provided services to nonprofit organizations and local governments seeking to build wealth in low-income communities throughout the United States. In 2009, Manny received the Center for Nonprofit Advancement’s EXCEL Leadership Award and the Meyer Foundation’s Exponent Award in 2011. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University.
