TI has an wide array of adult learning offerings. Gevarim and Kol Nashim sponsor a variety of programs and classes, and many other activities happen through the initiative of individual members who are excited about bringing a learning opportunity to the community:

Ongoing Programs

INTERMEDIATE HEBREW/BEGINNING TANACH
Thursdays at 10:30 am via Zoom (Mondays at 1:45pm as of April 6, 2026)
The class reads B’reishit, usually covering approximately ten verses each week.

Saturdays at 8:15 am in person and via  Zoom
Join with Rabbi Werbow as we deepen our understanding of Judaism through the eyes of the early rabbis. All levels of learning and Hebrew skills are welcome!

Mondays at 11 am via Zoom
Meet online with Rabbi Werbow and a lively group of congregants to discuss insights from the weekly Torah portion. Bring your questions and an open mind; no Hebrew skills necessary.

UPPER 16TH STREET BEIT MIDRASH

On Sukkot, Purim, Pesah, Shavuot and Tisha b'Av, we read special megillot connected to the themes of the holiday. In this new monthly Community Beit Midrash, we'll dive into these megillot with the help of midrashim in preparation for their corresponding holidays. Whether you're new to these megillot or you want a chance to dig deeper through midrash, everyone is welcome regardless of background.
