Remembrances
Memorial Plaques
There are special Jewish traditions on the anniversary of a death, or yahrzeit. Loved ones light a 24-hour candle, make charitable contributions and recite the Mourner’s Kaddish. At TI, we read names of the deceased on Friday evening and Shabbat morning. We also light memorial plaques in the Sanctuary before sundown on the Shabbat preceding a yahrzeit and before each Yizkor (memorial) services.
Order a memorial plaque here.
Note: Orders will not be ready in time for the fall Holidays.
Book of Remembrance
The Book of Remembrance contains names of loved ones, reflections and special prayers. It is used at Yizkor (memorial) services throughout the year.

EMPTY YOUR POCKETSWednesday, October 1 at 5:45 pm Each year, the Social Action Committee selects an organization to support and encourages TI members to "empty their pockets" on their way to Kol Nidre services. This year's recipient is Shepherd's Table, which provides hot and nutritious meals daily to people in need. |
Annual Appeal
SUPPORT THE ANNUAL APPEAL
The Annual Appeal is TI's main source of operating support beyond dues, tuition and general donations.
Now more than ever, TI is committed to strong fiscal responsibility while sustaining existing programs and coming up with new, creative responses to the community's needs. Through your generosity, TI will flourish and grow in the New Year.
