Everyone can learn at Tifereth Israel!

Adults at TI embrace learning at every age, with every level of familiarly with Judaism and Hebrew. Whether you want to learn the basics of the holidays, explore the wisdom of the Talmud, hone your Jewish baking skills, or partake in a myriad of other opportunities, you will learn from experts (both clergy and lay leaders) in a learning community of peers.

The  Himmelfarb School takes a multi-faceted approach to Jewish education, working to meet the educational, social, and spiritual needs of learners, pre-K trough twelfth grade.  Large enough to create a dynamic community but intimate enough to be responsive to individual needs, Himmelfarb employs an open-classroom model, mixing ages, abilities and learning styles.  We advocate student agency, allowing children to have as much say in their educational journey as possible.  School meets in person on Sunday mornings for hands-on, experiential, energy-filled learning that creates a joyful Jewish experience.  Hebrew is taught mid-week via Zoom for individual learning that is flexible in learning style, approach and pace.
