Tisha B'Av
Tisha B'Av
Tisha B'Av is an annual fast day which commemorates the anniversary of a
number of disasters in Jewish history, primarily the destruction of both the
First Temple by the Babylonians and the Second Temple by the Romans.
At TI, we chant the book of Eicha (Lamentations) with a mournful melody,
followed by songs with themes of sorrow and messages of hope.
