• Southern Poverty Law Center Memorial 
• Edmund Pettus Bridge
• Freedom Park
• 16th Street Baptist Church
• Birmingham Civil Rights Institute

Experiences will include:

• An exploration of the evolution of racial oppression from slavery to mass incarceration 
• Contextualization talk of events leading to Rosa Parks arrest and bus boycott 
• Meet with someone who took part in the Bloody Sunday march at 11 years old and hear their story
• Walking in the footsteps of history across the Edmund Pettus Bridge
• An introduction of Birmingham and its crucial role in the Civil Rights Movement
• A walking tour of Freedom Park & 16th Street Baptist Church by a Reverend who was a Civil Rights worker in Birmingham in the 50s & 60s and was arrested and had the dogs & hoses turned on him
