About the Tikun Olam Fund

The USY Tikun Olam Fund is USY's national tzedakah fund.  Tikun Olam funds scholarships for USY programs, Conservative Movement Programs in Israel, and tzedakot chosen by each chapter from a list of tzedakot.  In order to assist the tzedakot that USY supports, Tikun Olam collects its funds centrally, by donating USY's contribution in one lump sum, USY allows our tzedakot to plan special programs meeting their major needs, whereas small contributions only allow these charities to pay for operating expenses.  Most importantly, since the Tikun Olam program was created and run by USYers, all tzedakah raised by USY is contributed through the Tikun Olam Program.
