Layout of our new kitchen –
Our new kitchen is in the works! Phase I construction of the new Storage, and Dishwashing areas located behind the Cherner stage will begin in the early Summer of 2008. Phase II demolition and re-building of the main kitchen will begin in the Winter of 2009.
Phasing
Our kitchen construction is divided into two time periods to enable us to construct the dishwashing space without interfering with kitchen function. When the kitchen is under renovation the backstage space will provide - storage, and dishwashing support for kiddushim and other food events. We are also looking into adding more kitchen support - such as ways of providing temporary refrigeration during the kitchen rebuild as well.
Another benefit of phasing is to provide our fundraising effort ample time to raise all the funds needed to complete the kitchen project.
